With this mission guiding us, we:

    • Commemorate and celebrate the experiences and cultures of multicultural students through cultural heritage month programming inside of our larger campus communities
    • Advise and provide leadership development opportunities for 8 cultural and identity-based student organizations
    • Develop and maintain a safe community guided by the ethics of care for multicultural students while exuding respect of all identities, lived experiences, and education levels with those who are to learn more about the experiences of others
    • Cultivate and facilitate social justice education co-curricular programs
    • Advocate on behalf of multicultural students and provide support to maximize their voices as they develop while taking ownership of their lived experiences

    Our Vision

The Office of Multicultural Student Affairs (MSA) assists and supports in all efforts to recruit and retain underrepresented students by providing special assistance with personal, social or academic concerns, as well as other guidance. MSA also prides ourselves on being available to all students, staff, faculty and community members as a resource regarding social justice and diversity issues.

We envision a University of North Georgia that supports the identities and perspectives of our entire community in a way that promotes and fosters the embodiment of social justice and a model of inclusiveness for all students, faculty, and staff.
