    UNG Celebrates National Transfer Student Week

    “Plug Into Transfer” features transfer events and recommended programs to offer support and celebrate transfer students. In addition to NEST events, co-curricular programs facilitated by other campus departments are highlighted during the week to focus on student engagement and academic success.

        • Monday-Thursday: Nominate a staff or faculty member that has been influential in your transfer journey at UNG.

        • Fun interactive games, stickers, buttons, free giveaways, and snacks for transfer students will be given out while supplies last!

        •  Fun interactive games, stickers, buttons, free giveaways, and snacks for transfer students will be given out while supplies last!  
      • Heartsaver CRP & AED - Oconee Campus, SRC 522, 9:00 a.m.
        • Heartsaver CPR AED is a video-based, instructor-led course that teaches adult and child CPR and AED use, infant CPR, and how to relieve choking in adults, children, and infants. This course teaches skills with the AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback, and guide the students’ learning of skills.
      • Stop the Bleed - Oconee Campus, SRC 522, 1:00 p.m.
        • Stop the Bleed is a new nationwide initiative to empower individuals to act quickly in order to save lives. The program is designed to enable participants to provide immediate, potentially life-saving medical aid to victims of bleeding emergencies while they are awaiting the arrival of professional responders.

        • 1,825 college students (18-24) die each year from alcohol-related unintentional injuries. Walk The Line between a good time and the consequences associated with binge-drinking. Join us as we discuss harm reduction and alcohol use!
