Transfer Student Orientation

Our incoming transfer students complete an orientation program designed specifically for their needs. We value transfer student’s previous knowledge and experiences. Our program is built to supplement this with UNG specific knowledge.

Orientation sessions can include:

  • UNG History and Traditions
  • Transfer Experience Reflection
  • Career Action Plans
  • Academic Support Services
  • Academic Advising and Class Registration
We also provide a variety of breakout sessions that allow students to pick their own pathway! These include:

  • Financial Aid and The Business Office
  • Student Involvement
  • Campus Recreation and Wellness
  • Residence Life
  • Understanding Your Meal Plan and More
  • Student Money Management

All newly admitted degree-seeking transfer students are required to complete the orientation requirement prior to starting classes, regardless of previously earned transfer and dual-enrolled credits.
