The University of North Georgia (UNG) Press will co-host the inaugural Piedmont Publishing Symposium, scheduled for May 28-29 at Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Registration is available on the symposium website, where a full list of sessions is available.

This collaborative regional event marks the beginning of a rotating annual symposium organized by Clemson University Press, Hub City Press, University of South Carolina Press, and UNG Press, whose joint vision is to foster dialogue, opportunity and growth within the Southeastern professional publishing and writing community.

The two-day event is tailored to a wide array of audiences — authors, academics, publishing professionals, students, and emerging writers — offering practical insight through a curated series of panel discussions and networking opportunities.

"In launching this new tradition, UNG Press reaffirms its mission to lead in innovative, accessible and community-centered publishing and to support both seasoned and aspiring professionals across disciplines," Dr. BJ Robinson, UNG Press director, said.

Robinson and Corey Parson, managing editor of UNG Press, will help lead some of the symposium's sessions, as well.

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. each day with symposium events running from 9:15 a.m. to 7 p.m. May 28 and 9 a.m. until closing remarks at noon May 29.
