Dr. DeSandre is a certified nurse midwife and family nurse practitioner. She completed her doctoral degree in human development & family science at the University of Georgia in May 2014. Her area of special interest is chronic disease development and management in families. Dr. DeSandre is an assistant professor in nursing and the Assistant Dean for the College of Health Sciences & Professions. Dr. DeSandre maintains a clinical practice at Georgia Mountains Health Service in Dahlonega, GA, and enjoys participating in annual medical mission trips to Bolivia.
