Overview
Dr. DeSandre is a certified nurse midwife and family nurse practitioner. She completed her doctoral degree in Human Development & Family Science at the University of Georgia in May 2014. Her research areas of interest are chronic disease in families and interprofessional education and practice in health professions. In addition to her faculty role, Dr. DeSandre is currently serving as the Interim Dean of the College of Health Sciences & Professions. Dr. DeSandre maintains a clinical practice at Good Samaritan Health Center of Gwinnett, and serves as program director for annual international medical mission trips to Bolivia and Uganda in partnership with Helping Hands Foreign Ministries.
