Elizabeth Boatright started her career in nursing at the VA Hospital in both medical and surgical units. Since then she spent over 18 years working in various Adult medical-surgical, post-anesthesia care, and critical care units in both the Northeast and in the Atlanta area. After receiving a MSN degree in Nursing Education, she began teaching for the University System of Georgia in 2008. When joining the faculty at University of North Georgia in 2013, she was part of the team that developed and taught in the first BSN program at UNG. Elizabeth currently teaches Adult Health nursing (aka Med-Surg), Pharmacology, and Nutrition. She is passionate about the role of the bedside nurse, and passionate about students success in transitioning to their role as new nurses.
