Tutoring Services on the Cumming Campus
Tutoring Services on the Cumming Campus provides in-person and online sessions for mathematics and writing. We are housed in the Student Resource Center. The UNG Success Hub also provides online tutoring sessions for these subjects and more.
What to Expect
Students can drop by for in-person sessions. Repeat visits are strongly encouraged so that we can assist in developing your academic needs.
We do:
- assist with specific questions
- help how to solve homework problems
- help with web assignments
- review concepts or problems for tests
- help students learn how to use their calculators
- help with writing for English courses, applications & professional documents, emails, and creative endeavors
We do not:
- complete homework or online tests for students
- teach lessons from a missed class that you were in absent in
- We recommend you communicate with your professor first to receive instructions on material you missed, then we can help with specific concerns.
Student Resource Center (SRC)
The new Tutoring Center is now located downstairs in Room 151 and houses both the Writing Center and all STEM tutoring sessions. To make an appointment or view the schedule, log on to the UNG Success Hub!
The SRC allows students to check out many types of calculators and current textbooks for mathematics. Borrowed items must be returned by close of the next business day. Students may also use the return box located outside the SRC to return items after hours.
Additional departments located in the SRC include: Academic Advising, Student Accessibility Services, Student Counseling, and the Dean of Students.
Note: Lidded drinks and small snacks are permitted, but please consume meals elsewhere.

Mathematics
Students may drop-in during SRC operating hours to receive help by professional mathematics tutor Ariel Lee with all levels of mathematics courses.
Tutoring is first-come, first-served, and may involve you working independently while the tutor helps other people. Tutors help students learn how to solve the problem; they don’t complete homework for students.
What Should I bring to the Tutoring Session?
- problems that have been attempted
- textbook and notes from class
- specific areas of concern
- formula sheets and calculators, if necessary
