Learn to Lead Adventurously

Lana Teterina is pursuing a degree in business management, and she is also a member of the UNG women's tennis team.

The Stockholm, Sweden, native decided to start a new adventure by coming across the world to be a student-athlete at UNG. She saw it as a way to get out of her comfort zone and invest in her future.

"I just put myself out there," Teterina said. "It has made me so much more open to new things."

She has enjoyed learning from a diverse group of teammates from around the world.

"I'm proud of what I've achieved. I've had a lot of setbacks, but I never give up and I always believe in myself," Teterina said. "Coming here has proven to me that I can do anything."

From hiking the Appalachian Mountains in Dahlonega, to kayaking the Broad River in Oconee, or from crushing the competition at an NCAA Division II tennis match to immersing yourself in the language and culture of an international city while studying abroad, your next adventure is waiting for you at UNG.
