Your foundation in Learning Support matters! Students who perform well in their Learning Support courses often out-perform their peers in their college-level courses. What is Learning Support (LS)? LS is a University System of Georgia (USG) program for entering students who are ineligible for admission to the regular college curriculum, designed to help them develop their basic skills in order to better prepare them to undertake college-level work. The program also gives the opportunity to enhance their basic skills in the college environment to regularly-admitted students who believe they need skill development in English, Reading, and/or Mathematics, or to students who have experienced difficulty in these core areas.
Federal Financial Aid (Pell Grant, Subsidized loans, and Unsubsidized loans) will pay for Learning Support courses. HOPE will not.
Learning Support credits do not count toward degree fulfillment or toward transfer hours.
