Five-Year Consolidation Anniversary Celebrations
The consolidation creating the University of North Georgia became official on Jan. 8, 2013, and a rolling tour of campuses was conducted on Jan. 10, 2013, to kick-off this new chapter in the university’s history.
In the five years since, UNG has become a leading regional university and a driving force for educational attainment and economic development. Through expanded programs and new campuses, students in the northeast Georgia region have greater access to quality, affordable education.
UNG students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends have created significant momentum for the university in the past five years, and we continue to build upon the legacy of student success, academic excellence, and leadership development that are the hallmarks of the University of North Georgia.
Celebrations
On Jan. 10, 2018, UNG will host receptions on each campus from noon to 1 p.m. to celebrate the accomplishments and progress of the past five years. All members of the UNG community are invited to attend.
