Recruiting at UNG is open to employers with actual full-time, part-time positions and career-related internships. Organizations offering “commission only” or “draw against commission” positions and non-compete covenant/contracts must fully disclose this information in the job posting.
Employers requiring donations, application fees, or investments cannot recruit on campus through Career Services and may not post positions on the UNG job board. The Career Services staff reserves the right to require disclosure of other job- or company-related information as needed, and to grant and/or terminate an employer’s on-campus recruiting privileges as needed.
University policy prohibits canvassing or solicitation for funds, sales, or subscriptions on campus. Therefore, Career Services will not approve the posting of positions or recruiting visits for job opportunities that entail these types of activities.
Only organizations with business licenses, non-profits with certificates of incorporation, or government agencies may post their positions on the UNG job board or recruit on campus at the University of North Georgia. Casual labor opportunities in private homes are not allowed.
Career Services facilities are to be used solely to speak with students and alumni from the University of North Georgia. Please read our full Employer Recruitment Policies at UNG
Career Services at UNG follows the Principles for Ethical Professional Practice adopted by the National Association of Colleges and Employers. As such, organizations that are involved in on-campus recruiting are expected to abide by the Professional Standards for University Relations and Recruiting.
Third Party Recruiter Policy: Only third-party recruiting entities that have actual, full-time, temp-to-hire or direct-hire positions available will be allowed to post those positions through the UNG Job Board. The actual client for which the position is being advertised must be revealed in the job description. Third-party agencies are not allowed to attend career fairs nor participate in on-campus recruitment events unless they are hiring for a position with the agency itself.
