Computer Science Minor

Computer science is a rapidly growing field as technology advances in every facet of our lives. A minor in computer science provides graduates basic knowledge and skills in the field of computer science and programming that can be a great addition to almost any major. Knowledge in computer programming and website development is beneficial in a variety of industries and organizations. Many organizations require this basic knowledge as a prerequisite for hiring.

Students seeking a minor in computer science will complete Computer Science I and Computer Science II as well as additional elective courses in the field. These courses provide the knowledge and skills required to analyze problems, design and develop software systems and how to use different tools and techniques in order to evaluate computer programs.
