    Mike Cottrell College of Business

    The Mike Cottrell College of Business empowers students to become innovative and ethical leaders in business and technology. Our programs and degrees equip our students to become sharp business administrators, successful entrepreneurs, invaluable accountants, knowledgeable computer experts, creative marketing minds, and many other in-demand specialists that the future of business calls for.

    Our courses are taught by career professionals with years of insider insights to their respective industries. Students will grow rapidly in experience as they examine significant historical case studies, participate in simulated scenarios, gain confidence in profitable soft skills, and fulfill projects carefully portioned with both routine objectives and practical challenges.

      All undergraduate students in the Mike Cottrell College of Business participate in the Professional Roadmap to Ongoing Success (PROS) program as a requirement for graduation. ABET is a nonprofit, nongovernmental agency that accredits programs in applied and natural science, computing, engineering and engineering technology. About 4,144 programs at 812 colleges and universities in 32 countries have received ABET accreditation.

    • Study Abroad

      The Mike Cottrell College of Business offers a variety of study abroad opportunities through UNG’s Center for Global Engagement including the London Experience and Business & Culture in Italy trips annually.

    • Internships

      Experiential learning through internship opportunities allow our students to apply and expand their academic learning in a real-world work experience. The internship program enables students to enter the business marketplace with real-world experience, ready to add immediate value to an organization.     Students offer free tax prep through VITA

    The VITA program allows accounting and finance students to gain work experience as they provide community members free income tax preparation.

    12 students receive Gilman  scholarships to study abroad

    12 students win study abroad scholarships

    Twelve UNG students were awarded the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship on Dec. 8. The nationally competitive scholarship enables Pell-grant-eligible students to study or intern abroad.

    UNG President Bonita Jacobs and 26 other faculty and students were inducted into Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines.
