Understanding an organization’s finances is critical to its success. A business degree in finance enables graduates to prepare, provide and present financial analysis to an organization to evaluate positions, profit feasibility, and various other decisions that are influenced by financial position.

Our program will prepare you well for a job in the financial industry and for graduate studies in the nation's best schools. Our dedicated faculty introduces students to theoretical constructs and real-world applications in a wide range of financial topics, including investments, corporate finance, financial institutions, risk management, insurance, and emerging financial technology, making them strong competitors in the finance job market.

We tie financial theories to real-world applications and examples through trading simulations in Investments, case studies in Corporate Finance courses, and other engaging activities.

Clubs and Organizations

The University of North Georgia Investment Club provides students with hands-on experience in equity analysis, portfolio management, and disciplined investment decision-making.

Students participate in managing a real investment portfolio, gaining exposure to financial analysis, valuation, and stock selection through collaborative research and formal stock pitches.

Supported by the University of North Georgia and industry partners, the Investment Club utilizes professional tools such as the Bloomberg Terminal and regularly hosts finance professionals who share insights into careers in investment management and corporate finance.

Membership is open to all students and offers opportunities for leadership development, networking, and experiential learning within the undergraduate finance program.
