Ms. McDonald earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Economics and Finance from Washburn University and Master of Science (MS) in College Student Personnel from Kansas State University. She is currently working on a Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) in Education at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio.
She has worked in higher education since May 1999. Ms. McDonald moved from Texas to Georgia in 2012 and began working at the University of North Georgia in August 2016. Over the years Ms. McDonald has conducted investigations involving hazing, alcohol violations, and other general conduct issues. At UNG she investigates allegations of sexual misconduct involving students, faculty, and staff. Ms. McDonald has been trained in the following areas, as related to her role: Title IX investigator, Title IX compliance, equity and compliance, trauma informed interviewing, bystander intervention, problem solving/conflict resolution, behavior intervention, report writing, and mediation.
Ms. McDonald lives in north Forsyth County with her husband and three of her children - Savannah, Blaine, and Dalton. She also has three step-children who live in Arizona – Amanda, Haley, and Andrew. She loves spending time with her family exploring north Georgia and volunteering. Ms. McDonald volunteer(ed) with Kappa Alpha Theta, Alumnae Panhellenic, Junior League (San Antonio and Atlanta), and the Parent Teacher Organization.
