Academic Coaching Resources for Faculty

Academic Coaches as Partners in Success

Academic Success Coaches can partner with faculty to help ensure your students are equipped with the skills and resources they need to be successful in your classes. The approach taken by our Coaches is designed to assist students in discovering and understanding any academic obstacles they might have and helping them access strategies and support services to accomplish their goals. By directing your students to Academic Coaching services, you are helping them find their path to success.

Class Visit Information

An academic success coach will come to your class (The Academic Coaches are available for virtual class visits while all courses remain online.  Faculty on all campuses can request a virtual visit from either coach using the contact links below) to tell your students about the academic success services your students are most likely to use (e.g. Coaching, goal setting.)  Topics would include:

  • How we can help your students
  • The kinds of assignments we support
  • How to make an appointment
  • How students can prepare for sessions

To schedule a class visit:
Contact Zach Thrift to schedule a class visit on the Oconee Campus
