Academic Coaching

Important

Despite altered campus hours, Academic Coaching services can be conducted virtually.

Struggling to adjust to the semester? Feeling like your schedule is controlling you instead of the other way around? Not sure what direction to take after tanking your first test for a class? Consider meeting with an Academic Success Coach! The Academic Success Coaches at the Gainesville and Oconee campuses are specifically trained individuals that are here to help you navigate your academic journey.

How Can an Academic Success Coach Help?

  • Academic Goal Setting and Accountability
  • Study & Test-taking Strategies
  • Time Management and Organization
  • Reading Comprehension
  • Stress Management & Health/Wellness Resources
  • Connecting to Appropriate On-Campus Resources

Using Microsoft Teams

Currently we are conducting all coaching appointments via Microsoft Teams. We recommend that you install the Microsoft Teams application to the device you plan to use for the appointment. However, the coach with whom you schedule will also send you an e-mail confirmation which will contain an invitation link. You may simply click on the invitation link in that email and join the meeting via the web application. You can e-mail the coach directly if you have any questions or difficulty with connecting.

I need help accessing or downloading Teams.

What Our Students Say

“My experience with the academic success coach was a very helpful and easy way for me to get back on track with my academics. Going to sit down and talk to someone who was open to hear anything I had to say was a great way for me to achieve my goals, make the right decisions, and learn new study skills for the future. It overall helped me become a better student as I was introduced to helpful material that I never knew and I greatly appreciate all the help they provided me.”

-Conner S., Freshman, Business Administration (UNG Oconee Campus)
