Our internship program familiarizes students with each stage of book production, from acquisitions to publication and marketing. During a single semester with the University of North Georgia Press, students will copyedit, design marketing plans, manage social media sites, develop print and digital marketing materials, conduct industry research, and attend local seasonal press events.
The spring 2021 internship is designed to be an entirely-online experience. Student interns will work 10-12 hours a week on academic, trade, and AUSA military titles over a three-month period.
Interested parties must meet the following criteria:
Be an enrolled undergraduate student with a major or minor in English or Writing
Passed Introduction to Publishing (English 3195) with a B or higher
Highly proficient understanding of grammar and writing
Understand how to use Track Changes in Microsoft Word
Have access to a home computer with Microsoft Word and Excel
