Valerie Bauknight

Valerie serves as an Academic Advisor on the Gainesville Campus at UNG. She obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Biology from the University of North Georgia. Valerie had an active role across all UNG campuses while she was a student, serving as both a Supplemental Instructor and Senior Mentor for 6 years. After graduation, she continued to work in the realm of student success, working as a Psychology instructor and professional tutor at Lanier Technical College. When advising students, her goal is to provide support resources, problem-solve, help students overcome challenges, and motivate them towards achieving their goals. She is currently working on her Master’s degree and hopes to one day pursue a Doctoral degree with the goal of teaching.
