Appalachian Studies Center

Welcome to the state-designated center for the study of Georgia’s beautiful mountain region! The Appalachian Studies Center at the University of North Georgia (UNG) is headquartered in a charming folk Victorian home known as the Historic Vickery House.

Support the Center

  1. Visit the UNG donation page!
  2. Enter the donation amount.
  3. Select the blue drop down box that says “Choose one or more areas to make a difference today.” Under “Academics," click on  "College of Education" and then scroll down to "Vickery House/ Georgia Appalachian Studies Center."
  4. Select a donation frequency.
  5. Fill in your donor information and your contact information, then click “Save and Continue” to finish the donation process.
