How did you hear about your internship?

I originally was contracted by the company to make a commercial for a camp that they sponsor. I got this job from a professor of mine. After some friends and I made the commercial the company was so happy with our work that they wanted us to be a part of their summer internship.

What has been the most valuable (or favorite) part of the experience?

The most valuable thing I learned was how to communicate with people that were not in film. I had to learn how to explain and work with people who had absolutely no knowledge of what I did. And doing this with respect and clarity can be hard, so it took a lot of practice to get right. However, it is very important that I know how to do this and use it on almost every job I’m on.

How will this help you in the future?

Even though I am no longer at Syfan I will take what I learned to every single project I am on in the future. I learned how to communicate better with people, not in my field, learned how to shoot in a corporate environment, improved my writing, directing, and lighting skills.
