    Katie Kiker

    Marketing Major - Motus Nova

How did you hear about your internship?

I was interested in the career outlook for entry level medical sales jobs, and while searching online, I was able to come across an internship opportunity with Motus Nova on Indeed.com!

What has been the most valuable (or favorite) part of the experience?

I have loved having the chance to work with the sales team at Motus Nova. The most valuable part of my internship experience has been helping sell stroke rehab equipment that has truly changed the lives of stroke survivors in regaining their movement. It has been a wonderful experience to watch survivors of neurological injuries who have no movement at all get back to doing the things they loved after regaining function, strength, and mobility throughout their upper and lower extremities. It has been wonderful to be a part of something that has changed the lives of stroke survivors in such positive ways.

How will this help you in the future?

My experience at Motus Nova has helped prepare me in so many ways for pursuing careers in the future. I was given the opportunity to work closely with the sales team in communicating with stroke survivors, generating new tactics to increase sales, attend meetings to set business goals and practice sales pitches, and gain more insight into the role of a medical sales representative. My experience has been nothing short of amazing, and I highly encourage other students to pursue an internship at some point throughout their college career.
