Adrien Saulais
Business Marketing - RefrigiWear, Inc.
How did you hear about your internship?
I heard about my internship by receiving an email from Dora Ditchfield. It was sent out to all senior marketing majors since it was for a marketing internship position. I acted quickly, sending my resume to the appropriate person and within a week after two interviews I was interning at RefrigiWear.
What has been the most valuable (or favorite) part of the experience?
The most valuable part of the experience was not only developing new skills but being able to come up with ideas that the company implemented. Being an intern and a full-time student can naturally discourage a company to listen to your opinions or ideas, but speaking up and being confident has really taught me a valuable aspect of leadership and teamwork.
How will this help you in the future?
This will help me in the future as I have developed a great deal of confidence after participating in meetings with extremely important and influential clients, vendors, and customers. Taking in as much as you can and not letting minor things discourage you will set you a long way. Sometimes it might not be a pleasant task that you have to do but consistency and hard work will go a long way and also set you up with getting networking opportunities as well as references.
