Conference on the Americas
The 24th Annual Conference on the Americas will be a virtual conference to be held on February 19-20, 2021 and hosted by the University of North Georgia.
About the Conference
The Americas Council provides an annual conference for presenters and participants to explore critical socio-cultural, political, economic, environmental, global, regional and national issues including the challenges and opportunities facing Latin America, the Caribbean and Canada.
While the focus of this conference is primarily for university/college faculty members, we encourage graduate and undergraduate students to showcase their research on the Americas.
Keynote Address to be delivered by Dr. Maldonado-Torres, Professor, Department of Latino and Caribbean Studies and Chair, Program in Comparative Literature, Rutgers University, and Director, Rutgers Advanced Institute for Critical Caribbean Studies.
The conference is sponsored by The Americas Council, University System of Georgia (USG) and hosted by the University of North Georgia represented by the College of Arts and Letters and the Mike Cottrell College of Business.
