Honors Program Study Abroad Opportunities

There are many wonderful opportunities available to UNG students who wish to study abroad.

Each year, the University of North Georgia sends students to countries all over the world to study in a variety of majors, from the humanities to the sciences.

UNG Honors Study Abroad Program

To begin summer 2018, we have established an Honors Study Abroad program, led by UNG Honors Faculty, which takes students to Glasgow, Scotland, during the second summer session to complete core and upper-level coursework toward their degree.

These courses, taken abroad, are counted as Honors credits toward students’ completion of the Honors Program. To learn more, please contact the dean of the Honors Program, Dr. Tanya Bennett.

Honors Study Abroad Scholarships

We encourage all Honors Program students to study abroad during their undergraduate career.

To support this endeavor, the Honors Program awards scholarships to selected students each year to help make the experience affordable.

For information about these scholarships, please contact your campus honors director and/or the dean of the Honors Program.

Other Study Abroad Opportunities

UNG’s Center for Global Engagement aids students in finding the program that is right for them. For information about other study abroad programs managed by UNG and/or by the University System of Georgia, please contact the Center for Global Engagement and make an appointment today!
