Scholarships

A limited number of music scholarships are available to outstanding students who declare a major in music or who commit to substantial participation in the activities of the music programs on the Dahlonega or Gainesville Campus.

Music scholarships come from a variety of sources and have specific requirements. Students wishing to be considered for a music scholarship must submit the Music Department Audition Application and complete an audition.

Accepted students can complete one form to be considered for all scholarships for which they qualify. A UNG login is required.

Scholarship Available to:
C.J. Dismukes Music Scholarship Students majoring in music or music education
Cadet Band Scholarship Students participating in the Golden Eagle Band
Christopher M. Rowland Memorial Scholarship Junior and senior students with financial need majoring in music or music education
Claire de Lune Scholarship Students majoring in music or music education who demonstrate high level of performance and/or scholastic achievement in music
Cromartie/Hubbs/Boston Scholarship Students majoring in choral, vocal, or music education that demonstrate talent and/or scholastic achievement.
Forsyth County Arts Alliance Arts Scholarship Students majoring in music education who are residents of Forsyth County and graduates of Forsyth County High School
Gloria Shott Fine Arts Scholarship Students majoring in music or music education that show high academic potential and demonstrate superior talent
Joseph Scott Bagwell Scholarship Students majoring in music or music education who are graduates of Johnson high school or West Hall high school that show academic promise 
Music Scholarship Students enrolled in music courses who demonstrate musical ability and leadership
Neal-Payne Scholarship Students with financial need majoring in music or music education who are residents of White county and graduated from a public secondary school in North Georgia
Orchestra Scholarship Students participating in orchestra
Richard and Zora Alice Jarrard Scholarship Students majoring in music or music education who are lifelong Lumpkin County residents and attended Lumpkin county public schools from K-12
T.J. Byrnes Music Scholarship Students with financial need majoring in music or music education who demonstrate a high level of performance
