Vehicle Training and Compliance

We are committed to promoting an organizational culture that encourages ethical conduct and a commitment to compliance with the law. If you have any questions, please contact our office.

Ethics Policy Training

The Board of Regents has approved a System-wide Ethics Policy. The new Ethics Policy is part of a three-pronged approach the University System is taking to ensure ethical conduct by USG faculty, staff, administrators, vendors, contractors, and members of the Board of Regents. The training is mandatory for all University System staff and faculty. The online training will be implemented annually. Please review the Board of Regents Ethic Policy.

Training Resources

This on-line training program is designed to educate UNG employees on the importance and benefits of properly recognizing and safely working with hazardous materials. Ultimately, our aim is to continue heightening employee safety awareness, as well as complying with the "Public Employee Hazardous Chemical Protection and Right to Know Act of 1988".

Auto Coverage & Driver Safety Training

The State of Georgia Department of Administrative Services (DOAS) Risk Management Office has developed Auto Liability Coverage & Safety Training Videos for state employees. The videos and training course explain when an employee is and, more importantly, when an employee is not insured while driving for business purposes.

It is mandatory that every state employee responsible for driving a state owned vehicle, their own vehicle or a rental for business purposes view these videos and safety tips annually. Also annually, please review and be familiar with UNG’s Motor Vehicle Use Policy.

The motor vehicle training has all the current videos and information needed and required for all state vehicles. Please be aware the training may take up to one hour but is not a timed session and you may return after completing one of several videos. Be sure to have your Georgia driver’s license number ready, and have audio (speakers/headphones) on the computer you are taking the training on for the videos.
