As a state designated leadership institution, it is our mission to develop our students into leaders far beyond their collegiate career.

The University of North Georgia has a variety of co-curricular leadership programs that provide meaningful experiences and teach students critical skills around personal core values, teamwork and collaboration, communication and much more!

Lunch and Learn Series

A monthly workshop series for students on the Blue Ridge campus to learn relevant leadership skills as well as campus resources that will help you be the most successful student you can be! Look for upcoming Lunch and Learn Series on UNG Connect.

Leadership Conferences

Students have the opportunity to participate in multiple leadership themed conferences both at UNG and within the state of Georgia. For more information and to participate, look for the conference registration information on UNG Connect.

Leadership Lunch Series

A monthly leadership training over lunch where students and student leaders learn critical skills focused on self-awareness, leadership theories, oral/written communication, teamwork and collaboration, diversity and inclusion, and civic engagement. Space and free lunch is limited so reserve your spot for each month’s even on UNG Connect! Open to all students!

Nighthawks Fest: Club & Involvement Fair

Occurring each fall and spring during Weeks of Welcome, this event connects UNG students to the 300+ student organizations on the Dahlonega campus.

Leadership Lunch Series

A monthly leadership training over lunch where students and student leaders learn critical skills focused on self-awareness, leadership theories, oral/written communication, teamwork and collaboration, diversity and inclusion, and civic engagement. Open to all students on a first-come, first-serve basis!

Blue & Gold Awards Ceremony

This ceremony occurs at the end of the spring semester and recognizes all new student organizations at the Dahlonega campus in addition to outstanding leadership from students and student organizations during the academic year. Nominations for the award categories go live on UNG Connect mid-spring for this competitive award process. Students and student organizations are encouraged to submit a nomination for themselves or on behalf of others for this prestigious ceremony.

Do you need some new leadership techniques? Tired of the same old ice breakers and team builders? Have you heard about some great authors but don’t want to buy your own book? Stop by our Leadership Library and check out our over 75 (and growing) different books on a variety of different areas of leadership.

Student Organization Training

Looking to improve your student organization or develop the individual members of your team? Contact the Office of Student Involvement’s Leadership Representative and request your personal training.
