    History (B.A.) with Teacher Certification

The Bachelor of Arts with a major in history with Teach Certification offers students a significant body of knowledge, develops their ability to understand how the past has shaped the present, how to research information, how to think critically, and furthers your ability to pass that knowledge and skills on to others.

With our program, you will enter the classroom with a strong foundation in both history and education content, as well as the first-hand experience of teaching from your internship. Gain the skill set of historians: adept critical thinkers and communicators who have developed skills in understanding complexity, diverse global perspectives, and multiple, often conflicting points of view with an educator’s ability to effectively distill and teach the skills as well as content.

This degree is offered in conjunction with the College of Education Middle Grades, Secondary & Science department and subject to their requirements.

Note: You must meet College of Education admission requirements for this program.
