National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE)
NSSE is a popular survey administered by hundreds of institutions across the country. It provides an in-depth assessment of student engagement for first-year and senior level students. Since student engagement is closely linked to many outcomes, such as retention and graduation, NSSE serves as a powerful resource for practically every institutional function.
NSSE is geared towards baccalaureate students, however, UNG does an oversample to include associate students as well. However, it is important to note that comparison groups outside of UNG will only include baccalaureate students.
Below is a dashboard comparing UNG to national NSSE responses over time. For assistance interpreting the dashboard, please consult our 2018 NSSE Codebook (PDF).
