Modern & Classical Languages

Language is how we communicate. It is how we express ourselves to others. Learning a second language broadens that ability to communicate and has become a vital skill in our interconnected global world. It deepens our understanding of other countries and their cultures.

Not only does learning a second language increase your interpersonal and analytical skills, it opens the doors to many career opportunities that may take you across the globe.

The Department of Modern & Classical Languages offers programs in Arabic, Chinese, Farsi, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Latin, and Russian. For Spanish and Portuguese, please visit our Department of Spanish website.
