Overview
Sam joined the University of North Georgia Counseling Center in September 2020. She earned her Bachelor of Science degrees in Psychology and Sociology from Virginia Tech and her Master of Social Work degree from West Chester University of PA. She has experience working in inpatient and community settings with adults, adolescents, children, and families with various presenting concerns. Her work includes a focus on cognitive-behavioral, psychoeducational, and interpersonal therapeutic interventions. Her areas of interest include adjustment to adulthood, anxiety, stress, depression, self-care, and self-development. Sam is currently a licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in the state of Georgia and is pursuing her Clinical Social Work license (LCSW).
