What to Do in an Emergency

If you have a life-threatening emergency, please call 911, 988 or if the crisis is on-campus, also feel free to call University Police at 706-864-1500 immediately for their assistance.

If you have a non-life-threatening mental health crisis call the Student Counseling office on your campus during regular university hours:

    • M-Th - 8 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
    • F - 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. (academic year) or 12 p.m. (summer)

If your non-life-threatening crisis cannot wait until regular business hours you can call the Georgia Crisis & Access Line at 800-715-4225.

Students on the Dahlonega and Gainesville campuses have access to an on-call therapist that can be reached through the University Police or Dahlonega residence directors.
