Having an Emergency?

If you have a life-threatening emergency, please call 911 or a crisis hotline. If the crisis is on-campus, also feel free to call University Police at 706-864-1500 immediately for their assistance.

If you have a non-life-threatening mental health crisis make an appointment with Student Counseling office on your campus during regular university hours:

  • Monday - Thursday: 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
  • Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. (academic year)
    • 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. (summer)

Students on the Dahlonega and Gainesville campuses have access to an on-call therapist that can be reached through the University Police or Dahlonega residence directors.

I am Concerned About Someone

Whenever there is a concern about a member of the UNG community, it is encouraged that a Flight Support referral form or a See Something/Say Something report be submitted. These forms can be submitted by anyone inside or outside of UNG. Very often people will respond to a friend's help before that of a therapist. You are welcome to call or make an appointment with a counselor and get some advice on what you might do.

If your friend is in a crisis, seek help immediately by completing a See Something Say Something report.
