Eligibility and Participation Requirements

Be a bachelor's degree-seeking, freshman with a declared major in criminal justice.
Be a United States citizen.
Opt in to the Public Safety Academy program and complete an application (see PSA Resources).
Be willing to complete additional training, field lab experiences, and periodic written exams.
Pass a sports physical exam.
Must have a minimum overall 2.8 GPA prior to admittance and must maintain a 2.5 GPA in the major for the duration of the program.
Pass a criminal background check and driver's history report.
Pass an entrance examination. View the minimum scores required.
Pass the Physical Ability Test.
Pass a panel interview.
Pass a Psychological examination.
