Education Abroad Academy
The Education Abroad (EA) Academy is a workshop series during the fall term to assist faculty new to the development of a faculty-led Education Abroad Program at UNG. CGE staff, in conjunction with experienced faculty program directors, will conduct the workshops. There will be four 50-minute workshops over the fall term. Faculty who successfully complete the EA Academy will receive up to $3,000 to conduct a site visit to assist them with finalizing a faculty-led education abroad program. Program participants commit to submitting a site visit report and a completed faculty-led program proposal by September 1, 2021.
Participants must have the support of their department head and dean for the development of the new program. If more than one faculty from the same department applies, CGE will consult with the department/dean on a final candidate.
Site visit funding is contingent upon state budget funding and COVID-19 travel restrictions; spaces are limited. All workshops will take place from noon to 12:50 p.m. and faculty can attend in person or virtually.
