    Employee International Travel

Completion of the Travel Authorization Form is necessary prior to travel. One of the signatory approvals for international travel is the Center for Global Engagement so that the AVP can review travel advisories for the travel destination.

How do Department of State Travel Advisories Affect UNG Employee Travel?

Department of State Travel Advisories lists the advisory level for potential travel locations.

Level Three Advisory Due to Crime, Terrorism or Civil Unrest

The AVP will inform the traveler, Department Head and Dean of the travel advisory level, and will ask for detailed information about the purpose and logistics of the trip. Any documentation regarding the vetting will be attached to the form for the final approval from the Provost and President.

The traveler will be advised not to travel if there is a Level Four advisory in place for crime, terrorism or civil unrest.

Level Three or Four advisory for covid

The traveler will need to attach detailed information regarding the purpose and necessity of travel along with a travel itinerary and a signed covid Acknowledgement Form to the Travel Authorization Form.

Please choose the appropriate covid employee acknowledgement form based on the level of the travel destination. This documentation will be routed as normal and the final approval will come from the Provost and President.
