    EduRoam: An Academic WiFi Cooperative

EduRoam is a global WiFi network that allows students to access wireless internet from any participating academic institution using the logon credentials from their home institution. For example: if you attend UNG, but live closer to the University of West Georgia (an EduRoam participant), then you can drive to the UWG campus and log into their WiFi by using your UNG login credentials!

Find a participating EduRoam institution near you.

    Public WiFi

Both state and local governments offer WiFi access to the public through many public libraries as well as a few other public locations.

Whether you're at the coffee shop, away on vacation, or seeking alternatives due to a power outage, these hotspots usually offer wider coverage, higher speeds, and slightly improved privacy/security compared to public WiFi.
