Outdoor Wireless Locations on Campus
Want to enjoy internet access outside? There are several outdoor WiFi access points provided around campus for your convenience.

EduRoam is a global WiFi network that allows students to access wireless internet from any participating academic institution using the logon credentials from their home institution. For example: if you attend UNG, but live closer to the University of West Georgia (an EduRoam participant), then you can drive to the UWG campus and log into their WiFi by using your UNG login credentials!

Public WiFi
Both state and local governments offer WiFi access to the public through many public libraries as well as a few other public locations.
Subscribed WiFi
If you already pay for service from one of these providers, you may have additional WiFi hotspots available to you. Whether you're at the coffee shop, away on vacation, or seeking alternatives due to a power outage, these hotspots usually offer wider coverage, higher speeds, and slightly improved privacy/security compared to public WiFi.

Northwest Georgia WiFi
The Elijay Telephone Company (ETC) has set up a dozen free WiFi access points for the counties of Fannin (Blue Ridge), Gilmer, Pickens and Polk. Check their listing for addresses and passwords.
Low-Income Internet Discounts
Lifeline Support for Affordable Communications — Get $9.25 off your phone or internet bill each month. Lifeline is available to eligible low-income consumers in every state, commonwealth, territory, and on Tribal lands. The Lifeline program is administered by the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC).
