    Department of Kinesiology

The Department of Kinesiology offers pathways for students interested in careers in personal training, commercial fitness, strength and conditioning, cardiac rehabilitation, or teaching in a public school. Our programs in kinesiology also prepare students for entry to pre-professional graduate programs including, but not limited to, athletic training, physical therapy, occupational therapy, or physician assistant. Our department’s curriculum has a strong science base providing a great foundation for a career in health and fitness and preparation for pre-professional graduate programs. Examples of coursework and areas of faculty expertise include exercise physiology, kinesiology, biomechanics, nutrition, exercise epidemiology and aging, advanced strength and conditioning, and exercise testing and prescription.

    Important

All Kinesiology majors are encouraged to be members of the majors club on their respective campus and adhere to its policies, regulations, and procedures.
