Heewon Lee

Ms. Heewon Lee is a Lecturer of Korean at the University of North Georgia (UNG). She earned her Master of Interdisciplinary Studies in World Language Education from Georgia State University (GSU). Prior to her working in higher education, she taught at the elementary school level in Korea and has served as a director of a community language school for over ten years.

Heewon previously taught at GSU and joined the UNG in 2025. Her research interests focus on language learning through culture and technology, with an emphasis on improving learners’ language proficiency through task-based and communicative approaches. She believes that language is best learned through meaningful use in real-life contexts.
