Music Department

The University of North Georgia offers a full range of music courses and performance opportunities for all university students, regardless of major. A wide variety of vocal and instrumental groups are open to the entire student body.

In addition, the music program offers a unique opportunity to pursue a career in music in a program small enough for personalized instruction yet large enough to provide a wide variety of ensembles and special activities.

The Department of Music presents many public performances each year. Student ensemble performances, student and faculty recitals, and world-class guest artist concerts are held on the Dahlonega and Gainesville campuses and in community venues throughout the northeast Georgia region.

Associate Degrees may be started on any campus except Dahlonega and can be completed in Gainesville or Oconee (coded below). Read about UNG internal transfer policies.
