The Jazz Band on the Dahlonega Campus is open to all qualified students by audition, with consideration of the traditional instrumentation required for a large jazz ensemble.
This ensemble is dedicated to the study of the music of the great jazz musicians such as Duke Ellington and Louis Armstrong. The music is very rewarding and challenges students to play outside their normal repertoire.
This ensemble performs both on and off campus throughout the academic year. Opportunities to explore and to develop advanced abilities in jazz improvisation are also a major focus of the Jazz Band.
Complete the Music Activity Interest Form or reach out to a director.
Register to participate in master classes with faculty in the UNG All-State Clinics.
Free to all high school students, but space is limited.
