Louis Hajosy, M.M.

Overview
Louis Hajosy joined the faculty of the University of North Georgia (UNG) in 2003 and has since taught numerous sections of MUSC 1100 (Music Appreciation) and MUSC 1300 (American Music).
He holds a Master of Arts degree in musicology from the University of Georgia, where he served for three semesters as Instructor of Record for MUSI 2040 (History of Popular Music) and plans soon to complete a doctorate in musicology (status: ABD; admitted to candidacy).
Previously, Louis earned a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Miami (FL). He has presented papers at two meetings of the American Musicological Society and in 2005 co-authored the successful proposal of the MUSC 1300 course mentioned above.
In developing and teaching courses, Louis draws on his extensive music-industry experience, which nicely complements his academic qualifications. This unique blend of assets enables him to provide valuable contributions to the development of the UNG curriculum, including his proposal of a Commercial Music program. And his contributions will continue to exemplify a commitment to the implementation of diverse pedagogical techniques that Louis has held throughout his teaching career.
