Born with a twin brother Rob and growing up with two sisters in the suburbs of Pittsburgh, Mark received degrees from four Pennsylvania institutions of higher learning. While in the armed services, he was an Audio Visual-Photo Lab Technician and Photo Director for Special Services. Through the years, he has been a Sales Associate, Mechanical Draftsman, Creative Director, TV Designer, Graphic Designer, Portrait & Wedding Photographer, Instructor, Assistant Professor and Program Director of Graphic Design. Mark maintains 25 years of teaching experience at LaRoche College, RIT, YSU, SCAD, Brenau University and University of North Georgia (Gainesville and Dahlonega campuses). Mark has freelanced in graphic design and photography as “Taylor Twin Graphics” and “A-Lan Design.” He is presently a Digital Multimedia Online Learning Designer for eCore and DETI on the Gainesville campus.

Through an independent study with two graduating designers, Mark produced and presented several exhibitions, bound written reports, budget proposals and many physical elements to the residents and administrators of Montrose, PA, a small north eastern Pennsylvania town of 2,000 near Scranton. The team presented multiple creative changes through photos and illustrations of interior and exterior design elements within town signage, architectural alterations in color, design, materials, landscaping, lighting and parking. Over 70% of the presented concepts were completed by the town over a two year period.
Through an independent study at Penn State University, he created and painted colorful pastel wall murals of graphic representations of letters and numbers within the second floor hall of the dean’s office within the visual arts building.
As Assistant Professor, along with a team of three graphic design students in Pittsburgh, Mark created and painted a long, colorful 50’ X 10’ wall graphic of Pittsburgh citizens dressed in 19th century attire to simulate Pittsburgh citizens when Mark’s Restaurant & Deli opened in the downtown strip district.

Mark has lived in Pennsylvania, Ohio and New York. He has visited multiple cities in Asia and Australia. He presently resides in South Hall county with his wife, LaVerne and son, Ryan. He has been an actor in many plays from high school to college antics and several church passion plays. Mark was and is an active participant in several civic organizations, his church ministries and president of his neighborhood HOA. Mark’s hobbies are photography, reading, computer graphics, bike riding and dog walking. He is also a proud three time cancer survivor.
