    Professional Licensure and Certification Information for Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

    The University of North Georgia offers degree programs that meet the educational requirements students need to apply for professional licensure and certifications in Georgia. The programs may not meet education requirements for licensure or certification in other states.

    Students who plan to pursue professional licensure or certification in a state other than Georgia should contact the program coordinator and appropriate licensing entity for additional information and guidance.

    Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

    Professional Licensure or Certification Disclosure

    Upon completion of the program, University of North Georgia (UNG) graduates will have satisfied all educational requirements, be eligible to sit for the NCLEX exam, and submit their credentials to a state nursing board for licensure in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

    Applicants are encouraged to determine the specific requirements for any jurisdiction, including the state of Georgia, in which they intend receive a nursing license by contacting their board of nursing.

    Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)

    The state of Georgia participates in the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact. The NLC allows for registered nurses (RNs) to obtain one multi-state license, with the privilege to practice in Georgia and other NLC states. View the map of participating NLC states and U.S. Territories.
