Meridian-Cox Foreign Service Fellow

Congratulations to recent graduate Tracy Amaya, PS '24 on her selection to participate in the June 2024 Meridian-Cox Foreign Service Fellowship for Emerging Leaders program. We are pleased to announce also that, in addition to her selection as a Meridian-Cox Fellow, Tracy, a graduate of Commerce, GA's East Jackson High School, also joined this past spring the elite ranks of Pi Sigma Alpha, the national political science honor society.

The Meridian-Cox Fellowship is a fully paid enrichment and training program which provides students the opportunity to network with diplomats and other foreign service employees in our nation's capital. It also incorporates career development skills through workshops, visits to the Department of State, a diplomacy simulation, and panel discussions of foreign policy experts.

During the two-week program Tracy hopes to "continue improving my public speaking, networking, and leadership skills. Additionally, I aim to determine if a career in the US Foreign Service would be a suitable choice for me in the future."

We are proud of Tracy's achievements during her undergraduate career and wish her all the best as she embarks on the next stages of her life.
