What is the best advice you can give for a student looking at colleges?
Take a lot of time to consider if the area you would live in is also ideal. Don't assume that just liking the college is enough. Unless you plan on living on campus and never leaving, make sure it's a place you want to live in. I also cannot stress this enough, think about class size. Some students underestimate how much better the learning experience and class structure can be given a smaller student-to-professor ratio.
What is one thing you wish you knew in college that you know now?
I was a transfer student. I transferred to UNG, and I wish I had started there instead. Part of the reason is that I actually got involved in activities and organizations during my time at UNG. College is a lot of what you make of it. Make sure you get involved in something, no matter how small.
