All UNG students can use ScholarshipUniverse, a scholarship-matching and search tool which allows you to apply for hundreds of internal UNG scholarships and thousands of external scholarship opportunities. Because ScholarshipUniverse has a strict vetting process for all external scholarships, you can be confident that your information remains confidential..

Where can I get additional information about scholarships?
For additional information or scholarship-related questions, you can contact scholarships@ung.edu or 706-867-2991.

If you have questions related to Financial Aid scholarships, such as HOPE, Zell or Pell scholarships, please contact finaid@ung.edu or 706-864-1412.

Will I be able to see what scholarships I am applying to?

Yes! Through ScholarshipUniverse, you can now see each internal and external scholarship that you are eligible to apply for.

This was a common request by many students and we’re happy to be able to offer this new tool!

When will I be notified if I’ve received a UNG scholarship?
You will only be notified if you have been selected as a scholarship recipient, but not if you have not been selected.

Note that decision times vary based on department review times. Typically, departments begin reviewing scholarship applicants after the deadline of February 14, and you will be notified anywhere between then and the start of the fall semester. There are instances where spring/summer scholarships are offered, and would allow for notification at any point in the academic year.

How will I be notified if I’ve received a UNG scholarship?

You will be notified via your UNG email.

Can I receive more than one UNG scholarship?

Yes, we don’t limit the number of scholarships that you can receive, unless your total aid exceeds your cost of attendance.

How can I thank my scholarship donor?

If selected for a scholarship, you will be requested via email to complete a thank you message to your scholarship donor. A form will be provided to you to fill out.

What are the deadlines for scholarship applications?
Current Student Scholarship Application – October 1 to February 14 (priority deadline) for the following academic year’s scholarships.

Incoming Student Scholarship Application – September 1 to February 1 (priority deadline) for following academic year’s scholarships.

What scholarships are available for graduate students?

Currently, we have scholarship opportunities for MBA/MAcc students and third-year DPT students. If you are eligible, you will be contacted by your department.

What scholarships are available for international students?

International students are eligible for our foundation-funded scholarships and can also apply at ScholarshipUniverse
