Michael currently serves as screenwriting advisor to the Georgia Film Academy, founder of Screenwriter School, mentor in screenwriting in Reinhardt University’s MFA in creative writing program and lecturer in screenwriting at Emory University.
Michael has served as screenwriter on more than thirty feature screenplays for such studios as Paramount, Disney, DreamWorks, Fox, and Universal, including Vampire In Brooklyn, Home On The Range, Good Intentions and Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron, which was nominated for an Academy Award in 2002 as best animated feature. He also served as screenwriter on the animated sequels to Mulan, Lilo & Stitch, Emperor’s New Groove, and 101 Dalmatians. He is the author of “Crash! Boom! Bang! How To Write Action Movies” for Michael Wiesse Productions and recently completed writing the feature screenplay “Shadow on the Diamond” for Hannon Media.
Michael enjoys hiking, biking, drumming, kayaking and playing with his dog Rocky.
