Each year, the University of North Georgia (UNG) awards needs-based scholarships to assist Communication majors with tuition and book costs. Incoming and returning students are eligible; submit a letter explaining how receiving a scholarship would assist you in your academic goals.

Scholarship recipients will be expected to write a letter of gratitude to the Foundation and give a speech at a Board of Trustees meeting. Please contact the Head of the School of Communication, Film, & Theatre or the faculty advisor for more information.

    Journalism Scholarships

Students who make a commitment to serving in leadership positions for the student news organizations are eligible to apply for scholarships funded by the UNG Foundation. Scholarships are awarded on a semester basis, and provide partial or full tuition remission. Please contact the Head of the School of Communication, Film, & Theatre or the faculty advisor for more information.

    Media Studies Scholarships
