Mike Cottrell College of Business Volunteers

The Mike Cottrell College of Business at UNG has grown significantly over the past few years. In addition, new programming in professional development has driven the need to establish a growing list of internship partners, mentors and volunteers.

We provide three distinct volunteer opportunities for alumni, business leaders, and organizations. If you believe you are the right fit, get in touch using the links below.

Internships

If you've considered hiring an intern for your organization, students of the Mike Cottrell College of Business are looking for you.

The Mike Cottrell College of Business at UNG works diligently to provide the critical skills necessary to succeed in today's work environment. By hiring student interns, you get access to a temporary workforce educated in a particular field of study and prospectively, the next long term hire for your organization. Students may receive elective course credit if they participate in a semester-long internship with an organization.

PROS Mentors

Through the Mike Cottrell College of Business' new PROS (professional development) program, students are encouraged to seek out a career mentor prior to graduation. In this role, you have the opportunity to work one-on-one with a Mike Cottrell College of Business student, providing career advice and helping a student achieve their career goals post-graduation.

PROS Volunteer

The PROS professional development program is a required non-course-credit program for all students graduating with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. Throughout the program, students are introduced to industry experts and community leaders through panel discussions, speed interviewing and other opportunities. While this program has helped the Mike Cottrell College of Business strengthen our graduates professional skills, we still need volunteers to assist.

Volunteers in our PROS program participate in panel discussions, speed interviewing opportunities and workshops that support the professional growth of our students and soon to be graduates.
